Since CC doesn't recommend the combo - their recommendations are based on a lot of testing, its the esc, Sidewinder thats the limitation.
Heck why are you limiting this to the 5700? Just get the MM and run a 9000.

thanks guys for you time.... when i asked the qestion i only had 2 sidewinders... and castle said a 4600 with a 3 cell with the right gearing in a b4 will smoke a 5700 on a two cell... 11.4/7.4 more volts more power... but i bought a mamba max yesterday so the table turned..lol i will run my t4 with a 5700 and b4 with a 4600 3 cell with the mamba

There are some video's on youtube of the 7700 on 3 cell in a TC. Without the right body you get lift off about 80mph with some great hang time.
Who will be the first to try the 9000 MM on 3 cells ?????

The difference is bigger in acceleration/punch than outright top speed in my experience. Generally top speed is fairly low current draw compared to hard acceleration, good lipos are better at higher current draws.
