I ran Black Magic motors on dirt oval waaay back when.
I think I still have some stickers.
There is a sticker on my power supply that I still use today.

Somebody should re-release a brushless voodoo drag motor.

I just happened on this post doing a google search. I also was sponsored by Tom. I raced in mostly Michigan sponsored by him and Riders Hobby Shop. Raced 10L and 12L on carpet and of course dirt in the summer. That was the big deal up North waaay back then. I would let Tom know what type of track, gearing etc. and he would make me a motor. Usually we would give it away as a door prize after the race. It was great advertisement. I still have a few in storage. He was a great guy, but sadly passed away of a heart attack. Dang I miss racing R/C cars. I sold parts at the races and have tons of stuff in storage, some day I'll drag it all out and have some fun with em.

I have a black magic motor on my rc not sure if it is the voodoo or not but its all black with a gold sticker and its wicked mean and fast
