Default Do I need a Voltage Regulator

Hey guys I have searched on here but have came up with mixed results. I am running a JR DS8711 for steering and a JR z9100T for throttle on my 8ight-B. I have the Losi 2000mAh 7.4V LiPo Rx. pack and my question is do I need a voltage regulator? I am not one to try to cut corners so if I need it that is fine however if I don't that is cool as well. Obviously I would rather not run one but I will to save the expense of replacing expensive servos. Please help if you can. Thanks

You may or may not.

As most servos the JR is rated at 6V but it may tolerate more voltage and again it may not. I have fried enough JR servos using 6V or less that I would be very leery of dumping 7.4+ volts into it.

So to be cautious and if you are worried about frying the servo then I recommend the regulator. Also not all Rx can take 7.4+ volts.
