damn, deliberatly destroyning perfectly functioning devices. You might have given them away to ... I don't know, a kid who could have needed them or a club that could give these to their novice-drivers ...
anyway, what a waste!

These motors are also only used in the mini class here, so they arent much good if they don't work in mini.

Should be much better for everyone and much closer racing.
It's made the racing at keilor much more even, we used to have 2 people who would generaly get out in front and now since we allowed brushless there are 4 or 5 people much closer together at the front which has to be good.

Imagine this idea: all drivers handin their no-longerto-use black cans. You the sell the lot through ebay.
Any profit left then goes to charity.
always batter then burning them, I think personally.

The motors were crap ones....ones that we're completely useless... No good for anyone!
The whole thing was staged just so we could get a good photo - ok?
See the paper? Its soaked with Methylated Spirits, as are the motors. Thats how we got a good flame. The motors weren't even burned...

the difference is the grip
standard tyres are ok, M-grips have Medium Grip, S-tyres have Super Grip .. well maybe not super, better then M-grip anyway
I had a competition yesterday in our Belgian Tamiya Competition. Everybody had problems with rear traction (also other classes) ... I ended up with M-grips in the front and S-grips on the rear and that worked just fine.

At a venue i run once a year we are on standard industrial carpet tiles. Ive found that m-grips have a lot more grip than s-grips, no idea why **SHRUG** but its something you may need to test.

Two questions"
1. How much quicker is a black can when compared to a silver can?
2. Does anyone know if there's an equivalent brushless setup for the silver can, like there is for the black can?
Question 2 is because my club mandates silver can motors only, and I'm looking to the future when brushed motors, including our beloved Mabuchis start to disappear.

Silver cans are considerably slower then the sport tuned, silver can run around the 17000-18000 rpm mark for a good one where as the Sport tuned run around 23000-24000 for a good one.
As far as brushless maybe a 17turn ezrun system might be comparable, but I'm not even sure they exist just taking a stab in the dark.
