Derek, I sent you a pm back. Listen, if you want a good engine for a cheap price then your choices are very limited. These engines you are looking at are not considered "the best". They will do good but are not the best. There are many factors in this.

The best .28 engines are much more money than what you have looked into.

These are what are considered the best. You also have the Ninja .28 which is top notch. I feel the grp .28 is top of the line at this time.

I have the GRP.21 in my Platinum. went thru one tranny the 1st heat.. I had the slipper too tight tho.. raced the rest of the season with no problems..I personly would'nt put a .28 in a Revo.. a .21 has more than enough power you will need for raceing.. I'm still running the stock plastic gears in my PE..

Speaking from experience, I'll compile a list

Money is no object (in order)

Ninja MR28
O.S. .28XZ (my favorite, and cheaper to rebuild)
Nova Rossi 528 8 port

Budget
Losi Teal Head 427 (my favorite practice engine, and gives the O.S. an run for it's metal)
LRP Spec 3

Biggest let down ever
Axial 28RR

i run a ninja 28 with 1005 pipe in my xt8 and it looks crazy coming down the straight! to much bottom and way to much top, it screams! it pulls very hard all the way through the power band. very smooth for a 28! i know that the jammin/picco 28s are great engines as well, just have to make sure to seal them up good!

NDHotbodies,
I am thinking of putting a GRP 21 in my Revo PE also. I hope u don't mind me asking, which BB kit are using. What type of gearing and which pipe? Thanks.

Sorry to side track off topic on this tread.
