RB 928 & NR 528 8 port are the top 2 .28's if money is no issue. 928 would be better for racing, 528 ultimate basher.

The Nova 528 and Picco 28 are both low end monsters...but they both have pretty lame top ends..... In a Truggy both these motors lack the top end needed IMHO........... For a Revo if you have a starter box your likely best to look into a Ninja 28... much smoother broader powerband with way more top end RPM..... The 528 and Picco 28 are not smooth motors at all, and will generaly tend to melt your tranny very fast in a Revo........ a RB 928 is pretty killer, sort of a revvier 528, but it still dont got the speed or smoothnes the Ninja brings to the table....... For a Revo any of the really powerful motors are a poor choice, the Revo is a money pit and these big motors will absolutely tear the truck to peices.... my advice is to get a strong .21 instead....

The 528 has no topend??? Not a smooth motor??? C'mon now, put the pipe down.....

It will however, melt your tranny gears in the Revo unless you put some Robinson gears in there.

I guess its all relevant to what motors your comparing too...a 528 has the most violent bottom end money can buy, most users refer to it as a lightswitch powerband, its nearly impossible to use in a truggy due to its explosive violent bottom end.... Its engineered as a MT motor for big heavy MT's.......

Top end the 528 is very good for a truck motor, but it really doesn't compare to true race mills on top end... Most race motors worth their salt will run down a 528 pretty fast on the track....I run alot of different mills, and a HotMod 528 is one of them... My Picco P7 EVO 2 in a 5T will run down a equaly equiped 5T with a 528 in 65' ...we have drag raced the two motors multiple times.... The 528 falls fat in about 10 feet after a huge explosion of tire spin, the P7 will pace the 528 for 65' then it starts to pull away, and on a long staraight the 528 really takes a beating to the high revving EVO 2... The Ninja 28 will also do the same to the 528....

So if you think a 528 is smooth with a great top end i am curious as to what motors your comparing too....find me a motor vile and violent then a 528, you can call that motor anything but smooth.... Seriously if someone thinks a 528 is smooth then they need to try a real race engine like a Ninja 28

funny you should say...but tommorow night we will be running these 2 motors side by side to see which is the king of the track... So far looks as if they both have similar top ends, but the Ninja has more power earlier in the powerband...Both motors scream on top

its posible...as the Werks is a Sirio built engine... Sirio's as a rule have tendancy towards timing the motors for top end performance over low end performance..... right off the bat we know the Werks has alot less bottom then a Ninja, so it may have given up some bottom to make up on top end....

But with that being said the Ninja 28 makes killer top end power, the dyno results dont lie....Hopefully one day we can see a Werk's 28 pro onthe dyno and see what it has.....
