Default eZRun ESC problems

I got a new eZRun ESC for my slash the other day, and I am having some issues setting this up. I got the car running, but I have no idea how to set up the program card. Do I have to have a receiver battery for this? If not, can you give me some input on how to set this up?

Also, can I run a brushed motor on this setup?

Thanks
Dima

Connect your ESC's Rx plug into the appropriate place on the program card. Connect your battery to the ESC and turn it on.

The eZrun ESCs do not run brushed motors. The programing card also is used for the XeRun series that does handle brushed motors.

Thanks guys. Now I know I have to plug it in, and THEN plug in the batttery... I had that part backwards last night. WIll try it tonight.

Also, does anyone know what to do with the fan if I run a 3cell lipo? I was told to hardware it to my receiver?

Thanks
Dima

I got it going last night... DAMN talk about FASTwith the 3 cell. Buut I am having a problem with reverse. It has a massive delay going from stop to reverse. In order to get it into reverese,I have to stop the car, and then pres reverse. Then I let the controller go into neutral. At THAT point the car starts going in reverse. The cr will not engage reverse while I have teh throttle in the reverse direction. Is there something wrong with this?

It's there to avoid any damage to the gears as you don't want reverse to engage when you are still going forward.
