Losi 1/8 8ight E 4wd Thread
#92
Well hopefully Team Losi decides to ship these out with the http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...ght-2-0-a.html parts installed or via service pack. Otherwise sales of these kits will be pretty lame. Perhaps the reason for the delay?

$1,000 for the electric setup from Losi. Including vehicle and electric system. Still need a battery(ies) though.

So what's the difference between 8ight-E and 8IGHT Buggy Conversion Combo?
As far as I can tell, the same things are included. So is the only difference that one is sorta RTR and the other comes as a Buggy Kit + Electric Conversion Kit + Motor/ESC and a clear unpainted body that you have to put together yourself?
And the un-built kit is $120 more expensive than the RTR 8ight-E? Why is that?
Edit: I realize now I guess you still get the Nitro junk with the Buggy Conversion Combo, whereas 8ight-E doesn't come with that. That must be why it's more expensive.
I guess they've answered my wishes for a 8ight-E kit, hehe. Except it comes as a combo of nitro kit + elec conv kit.
Edit 2: Now they just need to release the 8IGHT 2.0 Buggy Conversion Combo, lol.

To me at least, seems like a quick way to really clear out the the 8ight and 8ight-T kits in stock. Heck, they could just attach the conversion parts in a seperate package to the original kit box.
And with the E-8ight roller being limited edition, maybe they see this new configuration as where they are going to go? I hope not.

I look at bashing like landing under full power, extreme revving(backflips), and max speed runs. When I think of racing I think of smooth acceleration, light brakes, and never reaching max speeds for more than several feet.
