I'm almost definitely about to buy a Team Associated B44 from someone, and I think I will only have around $130 left when I'm done with buying it from him. Do you all think I should buy cheap electronics and just get to practicing or should I save up my money and buy good electronics and just let the car sit while I'm doing that?

cheap is fine, but not too cheap
no AM or you will get frustrated
try to stick with the big names, even if you buy the cheapest item.
and ask local racers they usually upgrade and have old stuff to sell that is better than new cheap stuff

It depends on what your going to be doing with it. It sounds like your going to be racing seeing that you got a b44. The b44 is one of the best if not best in its class. So I say you need to get the best you can for it. You can pick up a gtb with motor for around 165.00 to 200.00 depending on options and wear. I wouldn't go with a brushed system because its to much work compared to the brushless..... Trust me you will be happy once you get the right stuff. Also any spectrum will be nice. Search before you hop on something, its amazing what deals you can get on here.

I honestly never thought of it that way..
