Save up or get it running?
 

I'm almost definitely about to buy a Team Associated B44 from someone, and I think I will only have around $130 left when I'm done with buying it from him. Do you all think I should buy cheap electronics and just get to practicing or should I save up my money and buy good electronics and just let the car sit while I'm doing that?

Anyone at all?

i would probably put what i could in it so i could get it going, hard for me to leave things sitting around.

i would probably try and find a used radio to get started. Check with your guys at the local track. There are usually people that have upgraded radios on a RTR and have the old stuff laying around.

cheap is fine, but not too cheap

no AM or you will get frustrated

try to stick with the big names, even if you buy the cheapest item.

and ask local racers they usually upgrade and have old stuff to sell that is better than new cheap stuff

I saw the Tekin G11 Pro on Stormer Hobbies for like $65, is that a good ESC?

It depends on what your going to be doing with it. It sounds like your going to be racing seeing that you got a b44. The b44 is one of the best if not best in its class. So I say you need to get the best you can for it. You can pick up a gtb with motor for around 165.00 to 200.00 depending on options and wear. I wouldn't go with a brushed system because its to much work compared to the brushless..... Trust me you will be happy once you get the right stuff. Also any spectrum will be nice. Search before you hop on something, its amazing what deals you can get on here.:nod:

I have been down that road so ny times and alway wanted to give up. But once I got the brushless with the spectrum I never looked back! Good luck with the setup and let use know how it goes.:)

Yeah, only problem is that setup right there would be 1 1/3 the cost of the car haha!
