Default trouble with a Duo 13.5 motor

Ok, in my Tamiya TA05R, esc is a Novak XRB, I have a Trinity Duo 13.5 motor that cuts out at random times. The steering still works so I'm not losing signal or anything like that, just the motor stops running after you hit the brakes and won't cut back in for several seconds. I got the motor used but it looks good as new inside and out. I took it apart to see if anything looked burnt and didn't see anything.

Edit: Its not the esc because I ran a Novak 13.5 with no problems.
Any ideas?

Trinity is mass produced shit with their badge slapped on it! I had a duo 10.5 and it sucked! Novaks are my favorite...

Funny, I am running a Trinity 10.5 Duo and it is just as fast as a Novak.

I had a similar problem and it was just a bad sensor wire.

Ditto what Ron said. the sensor wires are very fragile. The novak worked as it has its own sensor wires.

The new duo motors are awesome motors. I ran a 10.5 on asphalt and it was good.
