Hi MM
At the race meeting on Sunday I had a wrist pin clip break up and go through my motor, it buggered the piston and liner, I know that these things happen and so I am not grumpy or anything.

I was just wondering what I might be able to do to reduce the risk of this happening again???

Should I look at replacing them every 4-8 litre’s or something like that or was I just a very lucky SOB to have one let go on me???

Hmmm, yer! didnt think of that. Sabotage maybe

Although I do get a lot of my stuff from O.S. I do try to support the “better” LHS’s when I can.

wow thats a bummer , can you send some pics to my email of the damage it will give me a better idea why it happened /...

There is not much you can do to safeguard from this , it does happen to engines from time to time .

yeah, we had him going again in the next race on the day, dropped in his spare piston, borrowed one of our spare heads and used Deanos blow-torch to help run it in - only to have yet another revo clutch spring let go during the race

but thats racing..

No that's normal trackside service from RChobbyzone and typical traxxas reliability
