I don't think the diff covers make much of a difference. Perhaps narrowing the covers like trailranger mentioned helps. You may keep more dirt out, but the dirt that does get in is trapped and will find its way to the diff lube/balls.

Is any one made the move from the 12L4 to the 12R5 yet? If so how does it compare? Im looking at getting into the class from 1/10 Ep touring. So I was wondering how hard they are to set up etc.

The car has not been released yet. It might be out sometime this month.

in general. 1/12 is a lot easier to set up compared to 1/10, because theres less components to change. The R5 wont be too much of a stir up in the class, but it will be good performing as the L4 has been for a long time.

Does anyone know the date when this car will hit the local hobby shops?
I ordered one from brooklyn hobbies about two weeks ago.
Man I cant wait to start building this car.
It looks like it's going to be a killer ride.

I believe they'd be legal for MOD, but not for stock or 19 turn, as those are the sportsman classes. No prototype or unavailable equipment in these classes to prevent factory driver advantage.

I think Thunder Tiger screwed the pooch on this deal, by not having the cars here in time. Same thing with the Reedy stock motor.

I think this or the Serpent 120 will be my first venture into 12th scale. They both look bitchin.
