Hey hey.
I got some Diff Question for ya all,
Do you use the corally diff grease, seems to tacky/sticky to me ?
Is it important to use those two O rings on the diff out drives ?
And whats the trick to keep the diff's tight, mine will not keep there tension .
Thanks
Kevin

Hi Guys,
Recently got my Phi, it's nice but am having some issues with oversteer
... mainly on throttle and corner exit.
Have tried changes in the following order:
- harder front springs 19pound (17 on rear)
- lengthen rear camber links
- lay rear shocks down one position from kit.
- Introduced kick up at front (turned front couplers over)
- Higher roll centre on the front using couplers ('dots' up all front couplers)
- Thought I may have had to much 'all round grip' so changed to hardest
springs (front 24 & rear 22).
I have no sway bars, ride hieght 5.5 all round, used xenon 36 tyres (hot day).
I seemed to gain some improvement from increasing front roll centre change, however overall problem still there
.
With all set up changes, the oversteer problem became worse after a few minutes into the run.
Would appreciate any advice you may have guys.
Cheers

To get a bit more rear grip you could also try more rear toe in.
What hole position on the rear hub are you using?

Thanks for that, have heard that about the Xenon tyres too ... although I did try Much More 32 Friday night and had similar issues but not as bad.
Agree the sway bars are the way to go .... they made a huge difference on my HB cyclone as well.

Thanks ... experienced similar problems with Much More 32 on Friday night, but not as bad. So I guess not a tyre issue.
I am using the middle hole on the rear hub (and lower inside hole on the shock tower - as per kit)..... which are you using ?
More rear toe
I should have thought of that ...will help.

More rear toe
I should have thought of that ...will help. If it gets worse during the run, your tyres may be overheating. Im not terribly familiar with the Xenon tyres, but would suggest you try a Sorex or Much More tyre to compare. If its still doing it, at least you know it isnt tyres.
To get a bit more rear grip you could also try more rear toe in.

How to Blueprint your RDX, check out this link http://www.corallyusa.com/2005/blueprint.htm
Its old but it has some great reading on diffs and shocks.
ZMANN i do know the old RDX diff fits the PHI so i cant see any reason why the new diff wouldnt fit the old car.
MAZMO The PHI was designed to have a LOT of steering, this is probably the one main reason it has been so dominant, this may not always be to everyones liking. Sway bars do help alot with settling the car down. You may also want to try a shorter front link.

Thanks Ari ... yes the PHI certainly has much more steering than I am used to, alot better than not having enough
Will add the sway bars. In the interim will shorten the front link .... am also considering adding more rear toe in. Do you have any other suggestions ?
Thanks

Also try lengthening the rear link will give u more grip in rear, so less steering
