you say you have a 2s for your mini. use that battery. dont worry about anything other than the truck. 2s is plenty power for it. more probly same power and run time as a 7 cell as well, plus less weight. i say just get the truck for now and if you want more power out of it step up to a 3s or 9 cell.

Don't use any lipo under 4000 mAh in a Stampede. It puts to much of a strain on the battery, and it can easily swell up or catch on fire. Use 4000+ mAh lipos only.

it all depends on gearing. you can easily use a 4000 if you gear it right and have the right system.

with either the Pede or the Rustler i would probably use the 4000 LiPo from my Mini Coop until i can get more $$$ for another. All I would have to do is chop the connector off the truck and stick a Deans on it right? i know the Pede is more top heavy, doesn't handle at all, but the body style is cool. Probably would drive using stock gearing (whatever comes with it) Rustler looks like a bug--ahhh!- but a fassst bug at that!

Just wondering is there anything that you all don't put Brushless in lol? Im wanting to get another monster truck but want an electric but don't want to pay a million for it and to upgrade it. What's all your suggestions?

well I honestly can't say- I have a Mini Cooper w/7700 MambaMax and it is powered w/2s LiPo so going off-road will be a first. The input I am getting is to remove the Traxxas connector and soldering a Deans. I think any brushless is gonna cost the bucks; I'm looking at about $350 for the Stampede and a bit more for the Rustler. also think you can upgrade a stocker w/VXL.
