Hey guy's
In looking at the weather for the next few weeks, we are to be in the 60's and 70's so really above our normal temp.
Any thought on running one more pavement race on the 28th??

Grenade: sorry to hear about Omaha.
On another note, I found a couple old lipo packs i had stuffed into a box about 2 years ago. one was a 2 cell where the cell had swollen originally from me dead shorting it. it was still safe. UNTIL i charged the 1000 mah pack at 5 amps on nimh settings and kept bumping it when the the peak detect turned it off. after swellig like a balloon, and the 5th repeak, it blew- pretty dramatically. fire-ball and all. for such a small cell, it was a fairly big fireball. stunk like heck, too. the black cloud eminating from my garage looked like death as it moved down the street. also, it ended up welding the charging leads to the charred remains of the cell.
then i tried to charge another swollen dead cell (2500 mah). it wouldn't take much of a charge, regardless how hard i tried. but i did get 900 mah in and then stabbed it a few times with a poker. did'nt do much except smoke a little and show signs of wanting to ignite. i was disappointed to say the least.
anyway, that's what i do on a friday night.

We could move it to Saturday if there is enough people to run.
PRC - Could you send out a mass e-mail to all members?
I can make either day work. Yes I saw the same report - mid 70's on Sunday and maybe 60's on Sunday with rain.
Based on the lack of feed back, I think we skip the 29th and go for a 1/2 day on the 10th. I've got 4 yes votes, so with me that makes it $50/ea!
So who is up for practice on the 10th?

I can't do Saturday this week. The Dish Network is going be at my house some time between 8 and 12 in the morning. The weather report is still showing 73 and thunder stroms for Saturday and 60 and sprinkles for Sunday.
I think the test and tune day on Saturday would be great if we could get at least 10-15 people to show up. That will give us an chance to figure out the handling and laying of the carpet with out having to rush to get the race day started.
Later, Lee
