The feigao L motors have a 5mm shaft.
Or here

I believe all of the Neu motors are 5mm too.
I just bought one of these for my E-Revo

RcMonster has them listed on that link, as: "1/8" bore Mod1 pinions"

Looks like they are out of stock right now, but usually things aren't out of stock for very long.

There is also a "bore reducer" that you can use to fit a 5mm gear onto a standard 1/8" motor shaft. here:

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...reducer&cat=40

So if you got that, then you can use any Mod1 5mm shaft gear with your 1/8" shaft motor.

Is 1/8th shaft size the normal size of a 540 motor?

Yes - 1/8" is normal for a 540 motor. Mike (rc-monster) also sells 5mm to 1/8" bore reducers. If he doesn't have the pinion size you are looking for in the 1/8" shaft size, check the 5mm bore ones and get the bore reducer.
