Team Magic E4 Thread

I am glad Team Magic has stepped away from the orginal prototype with saddle packs and the clear nerf wings to mount the ESC on. Smack the nerf, and you can be out $200 for a new ESC.
The drive train should not be an issue as some are declaring rotating mass to slow the car down. If a car can hold its corner speed better than any other car, that mass becomes an ally for keeping the car moving faster in tighter courses. Yes the straight-a-way speed accelerations would be slightly slower, but your corner enteries and exits will have higher speeds due to a lower yaw CG.
I have been waiting a year for the realease of this car
It may be to late for me to convert to the EP4. I ended up with a used Xray T2 which was way faster for me in stock than my TC3 ever was. Not to mention, forgiving in every aspect. I have also heard that 1/10 pan cars may be making a come back and I may ride that bandwaggon beacause there will be one less diff to build, and 12 less bearings to replace.

Why does so many racers start dogging something when it just comes out?? Look, There are 8 or 9 solid electric sedans that can win at any race depending on the quality of the driver.
Corally
HB Cyclone
Losi
Xray
Tamiya
Shumacher
Serpent?
Associated
Kyosho?
Team Magic?
If I left one off, sorry.
Most of us that race can't push the car to the limits of design to know if one car is better than another. If you are slower with one car than another, then some characteristic of that car is better for you or your setup is off. All of these cars can win.
So stetching its legs is only part of the racing. The car looked like it rotated really well and had solid transitions left to right. When a big time driver changes cars and decides to race the E4, and then wins, everybody will say the car is great. No, it just means that driver can out race anybody in any car and that car is very compatible with all the others.
So, everybody, give the car a chance before you rip it. It has some unique concepts and looks well balanced. It just might surprise you.

From the official Team Magic website:

It looks great but I personally don't like the 3 belt system.

Car looks great, just needs some more METAL....
http://liquidmetal.com/
this technology pretty much has come around in the last few years. The ability to cast very precise yes stronger than normal Titanium products.
Most metals have crystaline structure, or you can have amorphous structure like glass. The result with an alloy twice as strong as steel or normal titanium alloys with the casting performance of plastic.
Say goodbye to the brown Spring Steel and hello shiny Liquidmetal for:
layshafts, axle stubs, out drives, and turn buckles.
What do you think Joel, going to give liquidmetal a try?
