Grape soda as in the pre-mixed store bought stuff? I always heard the syrup from grape soda or Dr. Pepper was the best way to go but I can't find those syrups.

I'm not sure how well 2x pink will work on the Darkside car which has a lot more weight on the front tires then most cars being as it has an in-line battery. Pinks always worked well out here in the past but on different parking lots...this one just doesn't seem to like them for me...so Magenta all around? Double pink all around? Magenta front 2x pink rear?

magenta and 2x pink are the same tire.store bought grape soda is what we use.it has a ton of sugar in it.if pinks are better for you in the rear then i would use them.i never did run a car with that much forward weight.it may be better for you like you said.try out the new saucing tips and see if it gets any better buddy.

I have found a little firmer tire on the Darkside car works well, so don't leave with out black or purple fronts. Pink rears work here and the prep is similar. However, we do not have the humidity that you have.

Only a guess, would it be because of all the weight distributed across the front?

Anyone know if AE plans to release a new 1/12th pan car?

For me the 2x pink / magenta had too much steering for me. The harder tires helped balance out the car with rear traction. I would say it was due to the darkside car, but I've done the same with my Corally 12mEuro which works very well outside.

protc3... Are you making more kits anytime soon. Or are you holding off until you get that front end project straightened out with irs?

i can see what you mean for the darkside car with the weight placement being different than the standard 1/12th.the 12M though, that car had a wicked push.i tried purples and the car pushed, with double pinks it still pushed but was better.i was never a big fan of the 12M though.i really wished that a local down in my area had a darkside car.i always wondered how the car would react with that layout since the first time they posted pictures.im so used to the coventional layout with all the weight towards the rear.i never did see something like that run

i am still working on the 1/12th kits and filling orders slowly.i have some real crazy jobs that i am working on that are very difficult and time consuming.it has tied me up on and off for a while now along with the rest of the work.i know it is going slow and if i cant get it rolling this coming week i am going to finish it in the evenings after i close.its tough trying to do all of this while keeping the shop rolling.i like to do all the car parts myself to ensure that no one screws up.

Don't you hate when life gets in the way of fun? That's cool. I guess I'll have to wait.

That makes sense now that I think about it. My old EV10 I used to run gas car foams on the rims which had a higher rubber content then the pan car foams of the day and it worked well with those. Maybe the same will hold true with my Darkside.

Protc3 the reason I ordered blacks to try this time is because I've been hearing that purples tend to increase grip as they warm up. I was thinking this might be why my car seems fine in the first qualifiers but as the day wears on the back gets really loose. The t-bar cars don't seem to have the same problem.

the purples do increase traction during the run.up front they are a little pushy and gradually build up grip.i gave up on them a while back for this reason.up front my laps were slower than they should be and as the run went on,it got better.with the stiff competition around here, those 2 minutes can make you lose a race.the 2x pink feels like a purple after it gets good.
the blacks are a very low rubber content.they are similar to the greys in that respect.the magentas are high natural rubber content as are the pinks.the black is a high foam content from what i understand.hell, you guys know how those car react on the track,2x pink may be too much front bite so the blacks would be a good comprimise.i just never did like them on the T bar cars or my new one for asphalt.also note that i like alot of steering.i dont use it all but i like my car to turn 1 ft. circles and i dont turn the wheels much to make the corners.this is the way i drive as wierd as it sounds but i seem to hit the best laps this way and when you come up on a surprise oh sh!t corner where a few guys crash in front of me,it helps to get around it.

Carlos, I don't understand why you continually not listen to me on what works out at our track. You ask questions on this forum and get the same answer I give you. There is a reason why you are 3-4 laps down, it's because you don't want to listen to me. You may think that my set-up doesn't work, but why does it work for Ronnie and everyone else? I always run pink rears and magenta fronts...pretty standard everywhere. If you want to be that fast driver you pretend to be, why don't you swallow your pride and listen.
