Default Traxxas stampede

I am trying to replace my brushed motor in my Trraxxas stampede with a brushless motor. The only problem I'm having is when I press the trigger the motor doesn't go forward or backwards. The steering works perfectly fine. I have noticed one thing on the ESC there is a red blinking light. I have never had a problem like this on any of my other trucks.

Have you run the ESC calibration procedure according to the manual?

Your battery may also be flat and/or the ESC is configured for a different type of battery. The manual says "The red LED flashes one time per second to indicate that the battery has reached low voltage cutoff".

+1 Almost all brushless speed controls have the LVC turned on by default for safety reasons, and so that a person can use the benefits of LiPo batteries. Since OP is more than likely using NiMh battery with brushed motor from the Stampede, the new speed control battery type setting is on the LiPo setting I'll bet. A NiMh battery's voltage sags too much; too soon, and trips the low voltage cutoff (LVC).

Just rebodied the Stampede I've had for 20 years now, all new shell with fresh paint and finally found a use for some onroad tires I bough in 2012 too!

Default Novak GTB in Traxxas Stampede

Going through my old stuff and looking to take and old Novak GTB out of my touring car and put it in my sons 2wd Stampede. I've got multiple novak motors to choose from, any suggestions on motors and pinion gearing. I am about 10 years out from the last time I really did anything with my RC Cars and my memory is coming back VERY slowly... Thanks in Advance.

I dropped the brushless system in mine and it works very well handles well also I still have stock tires on it and I plan on upgrading them very soon the only problem that I have is there’s no good spots for me to take it like on a track on Long Island

Also if you can give me any insight on how to drop the body as far as I can please let me know

Having an issue with my stampede. I cannot for the life of me keep the body shell from coming off because the body pins keep flying off. Anyone figured out a better way to keep the body mounted to the chassis? Btw yes I've tried thicker clips, it's all a no go.

yeah defiantly. My body is almost toast because of this, I'm thinking about buying a 3rd party one to see if it fixes the issue.

Proline makes body mounts for the Stampede that use screw on caps rather than clips. It may be something you want to check out.

Which body clips are falling off, the fronts? Line them up so the pointy side is towards the windshield. You can also get rubber body clip retainer straps that bolt to the body.
