The bottom part (where the adjustmant collar goes) has threads farther up the shock than the plastice ones, but that doesn't seem like it would matter other than allowing the collar to be screwed up higher.

If you want to use alu shocks I can advise you to use the short Serpent shocks
with the xray ball joints at the piston:

They are very easy to fill & bleed. The only thing you won't have is adjustability without refilling.
I use them now for 4 months and I'm very happy with them.

Don't forget though...more aluminum = more unsprung weight!!!!

Just before we are talking about things without measuring! 4 of those have the same weight as 4 of the original xray shocks. In Europe everything is about weight overhere. 5 cells and minimum weight of the car without transponder 1350 gr.

Wow...4 serpent shocks weigh the same as the stock plastic Xray shocks...
That's some quality plastic.....guess thats why Xray shock bodies don't break!

I made a lot of work of getting the weight of all my components on my car. So that's why I know this.
Keep up the good work

Perhaps your lack of English has led you to mis-understand my post.... not sure why you got offended. AS for sharing info...It's what I HAVE to do as a sponsored Xray driver.
Maybe next time...don't be so sensitive and read the post a little better....
Oh and thanks..I will keep up the good work!

Hey, Im wondering what cooling fans to run! I know there is 3 kindas out there
Dual Associated Fans (I had these last year, i think the fan base where it connects inside teh fan mount is very weak, fans tend to push through)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJGZ0&P=7
Novak Fans (Better I think)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKKN1&P=7
CoolCanFans (I know they have the over priced fan mount, but i thought i saw him having fans, but cant find it on their website)
Anyone else have fans out there?

Bschorr-The Novak fans in my experience hold up the best. I have been running the same dual setup for a year... They are pretty tough..
Hope this helps..
Joep-That "weird" was a surprise as in I had no idea that aluminum weighed the same as plastic. See thats where a "full" understanding of our complicated yet interesting language comes in!! Don't read what the smiley says... By the way sicne you are from the Netherlands...ask Jilles about my "background!"
No hard feelings.....

Hi Guys,
Just want to post a quick note we just receive a large shipment of parts for the Xray T2'007, including more of the center one-way pulley set.
Also for those of you attending Snowbirds, we will be able to ship your parts order straight to your hotel.
