otherguy: I was just looking at that Horizon page too. I don't know whats up with that pricing.
Even if TSR6 is right and the price will be lower at the LHS, it has to come in at or below $370 or its not much of a deal.
And whats up with the never ending flood of pop up ads on Horizon's page. To me that just plain tacky to have that crap on your site when you a big company like they are! It makes you want to leave the site as soon as possible. Not exactly good for business!

DARKSIDE--- do you think the lynx 3d and xxtra receiver are worth it. I am new to the hobby and plan on staying in it. I just got my first truck, but someday I will want a car or two. If I spend the money now for the radio/reciever combo then when I got new cars I would just have to get the xxtra receiver (or trade it between the cars, i guess). Just wondering what you thought of it.
I am still putting togther my truck and then I will start buying the other things for it, motor, radio, esc, batteries, etc.
just looking for information
p.s. thanks for the info on the topeka track. I am going to go out there some Saturday and watch.

otherguy: no problem with the track info. Sometimes gospeed and Erock convienently forget to mention Mikes track. But, he is a very cool guy and always runs fun races.
If I didn't think they weren't worth it, I wouldn't be buying them!
During the summer at the OP(overland park) races, things can get crowded during practice time with 50-60 racers there and waiting for your frequency clip to be returned is not fun. Not fun at all!
This special duo will eliminate that problem. You'll be able to just go up there, pick a clip, and tune it in. Plus I think the 10 model memory will come in handy if you plan on getting a few other cars. My current radio, Futaba 3PDF, has 3 model memory, and thats usually enough, but I'm going to sell it to help pay for the Lynx 3D w/spectra and xxtra combo.
If I can find it at a resonable price!

Otherguy: it gives you access to all the freq. on the 75mhz band. I thing thats like 61-90 or something like that.
TSR6: I didn't mean they had the ads "on" the page. I said "pop up ads". Like the ones that used to come up on rctouring.com's email. When I went there the first time, I got a flood of ads popping up, I close one and another opens, again and again. I know it was their site because as soon as I left their site it stopped.

the way I take it, is that the left dial has numbers 6-9 on the top and bottom. Top 6-9 for positive shift transmitters, and lower 6-9 for negative shift transmitters. Then the right dial has has 0-9 for the second number of the freq. So i take it as you have a positive shift transmitter (ex: Hitec), so that gives you the first number as bing 6-9 which is 4 numbers and the second number as 0-9 which is ten, that would give you a total of 40 combinations.
Am I taking this the right way or are there not frquencies of 91-99. if not then that would make 30

There are 30 channels in the 75 MHz band. 61 thru 90 is 30 channels. As for availability and pricing thats Mike's ball park, me just an average schmo, LOL. It nice to see so many peeps excited about this pairing. Have fun racing guys!!

Troy try again.
Remember to count 61 as 1 channel.
