Guys,

I have the IRS spacers coming and a few other bits. I just realised being a newbie that I still need shims to adjust the front end. Would using anytype of washer/spacers be sufficient to do the job.

Can anyone also recommend atleast 3 pinion gears to have using a 72 tooth spur (48 pitch) using a KR 10 double motor?

purple front grey rears, white rears black fronts, double pink front and rear.this is all i usually mess with depending on the motor i run and the amount of traction

CRC has nice shims for under the arms from what i was told.the teflon castor shims that come with the kit is all you will need unless you want to upgrade them also to the CRC ones.the kingpin shims usually come with the car but if you need em AE sells them.as far as gearing,we will need your tire size to give you a good ballpark gearing.

I know i'll get shot but I will be running out of the box tyres . My kit was purchase used so I dont have anything other than whats in the car. I was thinking of using the Tamiya wheel spacers as they comes in 0.5 and 1 mm thickness and are also anodised.

So please suggest the biggest pinion I can run on that setup and then I will buy a few smaller ones for when the tyre diameter get smaller.

i would grab a 17,18,and 19 tooth pinion.maybe even a 20 for when your tires get smaller.AE has shims that are cheap for the rear axle and are very thin that allow for fine axle center adjustment.

Thanks on the tires. For carpet carpet racing how far do you cut your tires for 19t?

All classes generally run the same tire sizes. For club racing, I start out with 47-48 mm rears and 45 - 46mm fronts. I round the corners of the tires in the lathe, too (I need all of the chunk protection I can get). For big races, most guys are using smaller tires all the way around.
