Default Engine swap mounting problem

I have a 28 engine I want to put in MGT to replace the TTR 21, but the mounting holes are much wider apart on the new engine than the stock engine on the truck. How can I mount this engine on the stock engine mounts. The holes on the new engine are too wide apart to be able to open them up to fit it. Help Help!!!

on the old MGT the .21 the engin mounting holes were closer together! they were the same width across the engin but were closer from front to back

The Assoc. website shows the engine mount for the MGT as having slots all the way down on each side, so as to mount any engine. Will have to order one of these to put newer 28-32 engine. When bolting engine to this new mount, do the screws just self tap themselves as you are srewing them down. Anyone know? Thanks.
