This will kill the class. It's on life support already.

If you want full on high performance race bodies, quit being a pansy, and race 12th scale.

It looks like a blob when the details like headlights and grill are completely ignored.

There really should be a rule about the headlights/main grill needing to be contrasting to the surrounding paintwork.

If we "run what works period", why does this class exist in parallel to TC? This class requires bodies to look like real GT cars. It's in the rule book.

I'd agree there
While I don't race USGT, I live in the UK, it always seemed from a distance like the idea was a meet in the middle for those that wanted to race but have cars with a reasonably realistic look.
It's also something I've been doing at UK club races where the body rules are a little looser and running this shell in with the TCs

Our USGT class is built around the Juststock 21.5 fixed timing. Of late my son and I felt we needed more speed. I bumped him to TC 21.5 as he needed a new challenge his growth.

I run the same body as you and was contemplating running in 21.5 TC with it, so I could run my open 21.5 motor.

Paint, color and stickers are just a preference, but the rules are a different matter. That's were it starts to get ugly when racers run what they like and ack like there are no rules.

Ok, Right after this. This is what i see in the rule book. Nothing about body's that need to look like a real car.
Ok, now it can die.

Take a closer look at the first paragraph of page 2... that's not "nothing"

https://www.usvintagetransam.com/rul...s3-17-2025.pdf

Again: The "Rules" allow, as in the page you displayed, the Track director to use their own discretion as they see fit, and to deal with any fallout associated with a permissive decision.
But the rules clearly emphasize that the "spirit" of the class is to have bodies that resemble real GT racing cars.

Almost every "what about this body, is it legal...?" question of a body that isn't on the List, can be answered by "No" or "Ask the Track director"
