I have a 25 and the build went great. I am currently running foam on CRC carpet at our local track. I am having problems with traction rolling. The reason I bring it up is because I got rid of my Serpent F110 and I had the same foam tire setup on it and I could drive it really hard without rolling. The X1 is great, don't get me wrong but I need some pointers that may help. I did reverse the kit caster bushings to reduce caster to 4 degrees and that helped tremendously. I have the tires trued down to where my ride height is 3mm. Im running the kit gear diff. Im saucing the full rear and just a sliver on the inside fronts. I really can't tell if its the front grabbing or the rear to make it roll. It happens so fast that I cant tell. I have about .5mm of preload on the front springs. I felt like I needed it to keep the front end off the track since I trued my tires probably a couple mm too small. I have front and rear on the highest ride height settings so Im stuck until I plan out a new set of tires better. So im wondering where is the next place to work on? front springs? do they need to be softer or stiffer? Side tubes have 10K crc tube lube in them. kit side springs. Any advice would be helpful.

I would take the preload off the front springs and try a 1/2 mil of droop. Also reduce your camber possibly? Also maybe try a softer front spring.

I know at our track tire glue is a MAJOR tuning aid. Not having enough glue on the sidewall of a front tire would cause traction roll issues. Hope this helps

When is Xray going to get on board and make an inline battery F1 car?

I know people have been asking xray to just go ahead and do it. I don’t know why they haven’t

I think Xray will eventually have an inline battery F1.

ok guys this may be astupid question but here goes. Jonesing to try something new and its either this or a frontie. Having never driven anything but TC, just how different is this and is seting it up going to be really frsutrating? Ive always wanted one and even built an Exotek once but never got to run it.

Only dive in, if theres tons of f1 racers at your track. Every single weekend.

F1 is dead over here. And everyone owns one. Nobody runs them anymore for a reason.

1/12th 17.5 foam, is more popular here. And easier to tune.

Socal should have a decent contingent of F1 drivers. They're tougher to drive on asphalt but with decent traction, it can be a lot of fun. You'll quickly learn to be more careful on throttle and steering control. Tires is 95% for F1 setup.

get yourself a X1 2025 and build it by the manual to suit your track grip requirements and just enjoy it. I run on crc black carpet with high grip and the kit setup for high grip is pretty spot on

Default Ball diff on X1 '24 ?

Hi, has anyone ever tried the Schumacher U8186 ball differential on X1-2024? Can you tell me if it is compatible? Thanks in advance for your answers and suggestions.

I couldn't agree more! My X1'25 is the best F1 car I've driven to date. Even our local fast guy who made the A at the champs last year at the Indoor Champs said my car was great

If you race on CRC black carpet and you’ve been struggling for pace with your 25 car, take out the front 2 screws on the side rails. I did this on mine and the car has come to life. I can now compete with the excellerate cars and the exotek cars. Give it a try. What have you got to lose by trying it?
