FYI, this guy Brian Mills just posted on the Facebook page "iCharger Info/Tips/How-to’s Group" an advertisement for the 100 amp ANNIHILATOR discharger. And surprise, the discharger is out of stock. But of course they'll still take your money.

I was about to buy a Pro performance ESC , but as with anything I buy for RC , a quick google search later...

Now, rebrands are one thing , but rebrands with an added 100$ markup (street price vs street price) is absurd.
ZTW sells their oem version for 120$ , Pro Performance RC ... 220$ .
Pro performance makes pretty wild claims too like '' Their algorithm specifically allows for maximum advantages throughout the entire power band '' .
Not sure what that means from a technical point of view, better firmware ?
Not only that, but ZTW came out with a gen 2 32bit chip based 150amp ESC, 130$
So the pro-performance version isn't up to date ?

Anyway, I stumbled on this thread and just thought the whole thing was really odd...
Feels like a cash grab with a ''But it's encouraging RC Racing'' umbrella. Just my 2cents.
I just don't see the added value of that brand. Am I missing something ?

We can speculate that, and he can advertise with that but we only know the truth when we open both and look the markings. Beside that, Why would ZTW use less specs FET's?
But even then, does that need to be 100 dollar more in the customer price? 16 dollar price difference in a FET choice? Face it, no one would buy an ESC if it is cheap although it has top of the range specs. Otherwise people would buy an expensive ESC when they do not know it is actually crap. The price gives some expectations.

Is it? Have you prove?

Pro Performance primary market is North America where ROAR approval is required. It's also a widely known fact that ZTW offers OEM services with some customisation such as FETs. Team Powers, Trinity, Reds, Zombie, Cayote etc use ZTW as the OEM. Read my post again, I never claimed Pro Performance have proven to use different FETs.

So has anyone purchased from Pro Performance recently? I decided to give them a shot after reading some positive comments around their products - but it's been 2 weeks since I placed the order - and they have not responded to multiple emails or voicemail.
They have, however, updated their Facebook page almost daily.
Part of the reason I purchased was the warranty, however a warranty isn't worth much if the company won't respond to customers (or even ship product).
Extremely frustrating experience thus far.

Dude, I totally posted an absolutely horrible experience on post #16 of this thread with tons of red bells and whistles trying to protect everyone from being scammed. Only those who are giving praise so far are drivers who have been accepted as team drivers and are obligated to say good things while they are being expected to patiently wait for their products to be shipped sometime next year after their buyer protection is expired from their credit cards. At least you can file a fraud claim with your credit card now, good luck!
