GREAT you got your track up and running Road Rash!

PoorBoy will have to make the call on what class your SR27 will go into, but I'm interested how it runs compared to Mini-Zs!

Well its going to be mini z from here on out. I broke the sr27 (my fault) and of course my hobby shop doesn't carry any parts for it and nothing on amazon. I bit the bullet and got the mini z roller were you add your own body and wheels and I'm just going to switch my stuff over. I wasn't a huge fan of the associated electronics. I will no be able to run the beginner class.

I hate to hear ya had a break on your SR27, but you should be set with the mini-z! Tons of info out there on them to get you started, and some super knowledgeable guys here too, so holler with any thing you run into! I have a AE Reflex 14B and it's pretty good, but nothing like the quality of the RC10's I had 20 years ago!

Well, there were no parts locally and nothing on Amazon. I could order from amain but shipping was as much as the part.

I run into that very thing more than I'd like to remember! I try to order parts in bunches, what I need and what I might need in the future, as I am in the same boat as you when it comes to locally available parts. We have a nice Hobby Town, but they don't stock many Mini-Z parts. You would think as hot as it is for most of the year here in Texas the mini-z would have a bigger following. I think a big part of it is the thought that the Mini-Z is a over priced plastic toy by the larger scale rc crowd. I got a few weird looks when talking to the Hobby Town owner, by a few customers who were spending big bucks repairing their 1/8th scale bashers, when asking about racing mini-zs. They don't understand that this scale racing is HARD, compared to any of the 1/10 and 1/8 scale racing I have done. All other racing seems slow, even at the speeds we ran on Dirt Oval with RC10GTs.

Anyway, excuse my rambling, I'm stuck in my recliner on the heating pad as my back is out, bad! Can't drive now as I can't bend down to get the cars on or off the track. Have fun with your new Z, and get ready for more! Just over 2 tears ago I started with a mini-96 track and a ReadySet MR03, I now have 6 Chassis and more bodies than my Wife would like! I also took over my Son's old room, and it is now my R/C Man Cave!

Notes-One of the more fun cars to drive, and better after gluing sidewall, but still flips easily if I clip an inside turn because its so light with no ballast added. This car is quicker on this layout than both of my 98mm Box Stock NSXs, which ran best times of 237.7 and 241.1 but I only had a few runs with them.

Notes-This car is super light, but very stable and quick and is one of the funnest to drive and watch going around the track! It runs great on both Narrow and Wide rears with no setup changes. No changes, but only had a couple of runs and could have gotten a better time closer to the Box Stock GT1 with a few more tries.
