For those of you living in Canada, NAPA has the CRC QD electrical contact cleaner for 3,89 CAD per can. Can't beat that price!

I thought that’s good advice. Just make sure it says “safe for delicate plastics “ on the label. There are other spray cleaners that seem to shatter plastics.

Iso-propyl alcohol or Ethanol in a spray bottle is all you need. Buy it from a bulk supplier, not a hardware store and it will be much cheaper (at least in Australia it is).

CRC Electrical cleaner from harbor freight works wonderfully.
I recall back in the day, we just used the chlorinated brake cleaner on the brushed motors with the caveat to lube the bearings afterwards. That of course also got rid of stickers and everything else that was remotely plastic/oil based.

I would say any contact cleaner to be safe on plastics and rubber with light use then blown off. Not sure if they are non chlorinated. I always wondered that.

Ive been eying the WD contact cleaner specialist
