Hobbywing app requires payment method?

I’m trying to update the app and it won’t let me until I enter a payment method - which I most certainly will never do. Is HW seriously trying to make the Wi-Fi app a subscription based service? Maybe it’s time to find another brand.

You weren’t the one that asked me what app I was downloading, so not sure why you’re replying for someone else. Although your initial reply did confirm the problem extends beyond my own experience, I am baffled by this reply which falls in line with the two previous replies - they’re completely out there in space.

My experience was quite different, I never got asked for payment details. And now that I've double checked, they've finally uploaded the new version to the Play Store and my app got updated.

I had sideload enabled. Android blocked it because it clashed with the existing install, it wouldn't do an in place upgrade. And I didn't want to uninstall it to avoid the clash, as last time I did that I lost the historical telemetry records.

How or what are you updating? Are you trying to update the app or the database? How are you trying to update it? Are you using V2 or the original app. What version are you currently running?
