For the money it isn't worth it. The s buss system is a money pit and the extra channels are expensive to add it. It looks great but the price to get it and add the features is ridiculous! The Spektrum 6r was a better radio price but it's gone.

The 4PM/7PX and later are not only SBUS, SR has nothing to do with SBUS although most programmable Futaba servo's can be set for both.
And yet, the normal driver/racer only needs 2 channels.
For you the Spektrum may be your best choice, for most racers it is just a slow thing.

I did write it before to you, most people on these forums are racers, racers have other demands than bashers like you, they even buy a plain chassis for a same price you buy 2 or 3 RTR cars. Racers need a reliable control with a most direct feeling, any cheap ass transmitter that has no framerate going lower than your DX6 pro 5.5msec is getting too slow for hitting the apex perfect every time.
In this case a 4PM does provide the same transmitting technology as the 7PX but in a less fancy housing with a less fancy screen. Only the feeling and mechanical adjusting possibilities will probably be better with the 7PX.
And no, I did not take a 5th morgtage for my T7XC, I could buy it from TAX returns
Beside that, my T3VCS was becomming too old getting issues and needed a replacement. In case you did not notice, in my case they are so called "surface" stick type transmitters with which there is not much choice on the market.

Good info guys, i guess maybe i should just upgrade my motor and get another icharger.
If the radio isn't any faster, just a little more fancy with the touchscreen display, i suppose i can stick with what i have for now.
I'm not a pro by any means, but just need to get more consistant, and i really do like the 4pm, just not a big fan of the toggle for switching screens.

There are plenty of SBUS to channel converters to find on Aliexpress and Banggood for a reasonable price. Beside that, SBUS gives you the possibillity to change settings on the fly like settings to an ESC with which for several brands SBUS converters can be found. But yes, SBUS is no fast protocol so racers will never use it or just half (on only throttle) but it can be handy for many others.

Unlike most bashers, many racers only get one, usually very high quality (i.e. also expensive) radio, that they keep using for years, for all their cars.Personally I am much more willing to pay a heap of money for one top radio, than I'd be with purchasing a new, useless one with every RTR bundle. Luckily, we can all decide on our own, how we spend our hobby money.
