Another thing that could be the issue is if one of your tires is out of round, especially if its the hard rubber tires, it will make the car jump or vibrate and there is very little traction in the air.

I’ll check the tires. Hadn’t thought of one being off.
I haven’t seen any vibration from the car, but who knows.
I have a laser tweak station and I’ve done the quarter trick with the front tires.
So for proper checking of the tweak:
Battery in or out
Side dampers on or off
Springs set to just touch the perch, no preload.
Center shock mounted?
Anything else I should do?

I have an X-ray x22 Euro spec running rubber tire on carpet. It came with a spool and I’m having trouble with it getting loose in the turns.
Ride height is 3.5 front, 4 rear
Stock springs
10k damper oil
1 mil droop rear pod
slight toe out on front
checked for tweak and it’s good
dope full rear and half inside front
Everything else is as the manual said to start with.
Running 21.5 motor, 1s battery and 78 spur, 51 pinion (track rules).
From a standing start it will turn left on hard acceleration. Might be because of the spool, but I’m not sure. Straight away and sweeper are fine, gets loose on the inside track and have to be carful with the throttle and steering.
I have some 1/12 experience, but could use some help on this from anyone who runs rubber tire. I have run the car with foam and didn’t have these problems so I’m guessing I need to make changes for rubber.

tyres until the grip comes up. You definitely don’t want to be using a spool with rubber tyres.

Still have the spool on, hope to have diff ready this week. Made some changes that seemed to really help the car.
Removed one damper tube. Using 10k in remaining tube.
Was running 3mm front and 4 mm rear ride height. Lowered rear to 3.5 and took just a little droop out.
Had 1 mm shim under top shock mount and no shims under the front. Changed to 2 mm rear and 1 mm front.
Added slight tow out on front.
Doped fronts 1/2 and full rears, wiped clean and doors again, let sit a few minutes, wiped on carpet and put on track.
Car was a lot easier to handle with careful throttle and steering. Get out of the grove and all bets are off. I imagine once the diff is in place it will settle down even more.
Been reading a lot on here to get up to speed on the rubber tire class and how people are setting up for them. Still lots to learn.

I would start with a setup sheet for your car and your track, if there isn't one at least one from a track that uses similar carpet etc. The fact you had the front 1mm lower than the rear means practically anything else could be totally wrong and making your car hard to drive.
I am getting a ball diff to put in it. With foams the car was pretty good, but these rubber tires are a handful without a diff.
