Using goo and tape to re-enforce an ultra-thin body is kinda funny. I feel the same way about seeing the printed, anti-tuck braces for UL TC bodies, or the RC Maker carbon braces for HRB that essentially just make them vertical body mounts again. It's possible that the handling is still improved over the non-UL bodies, but it still makes me chuckle a bit.
Additionally, I have a brand-new, sealed Hobbywing 1S XR10 Pro esc for sale if anyone is interested shoot me a DM.

I'm running 17.5 1 cell, typical stock class on indoor medium/high grip black carpet. The recommended body of choice by my local track is the CRC low downforce black art body. I have tried 2 of them and find the quality is just not good. I got the ultralight versions, but they were so thin on the sides that when I painted them they curled up and are basically unusable. Who else makes a good low drag body? The CRC body has the correct aero, but horrible quality.

Anyone know where the 2023 IFMAR 1:12 Worlds are being held in Florida next year? Assuming it will be on carpet?

Can you use heat to curl them out? I use either a hot air gun meant for rc airplane covering, or I have a heat gun for heat shrink tubing. Heat it a little, pull it out, let it cool. Heat it up again and repeat until you get it where you want it. Has worked well for me in the past

I have an X-ray x22 Euro spec running rubber tire on carpet. It came with a spool and I’m having trouble with it getting loose in the turns.
Ride height is 3.5 front, 4 rear
Stock springs
10k damper oil
1 mil droop rear pod
slight toe out on front
checked for tweak and it’s good
dope full rear and half inside front
Everything else is as the manual said to start with.
Running 21.5 motor, 1s battery and 78 spur, 51 pinion (track rules).
From a standing start it will turn left on hard acceleration. Might be because of the spool, but I’m not sure. Straight away and sweeper are fine, gets loose on the inside track and have to be carful with the throttle and steering.
I have some 1/12 experience, but could use some help on this from anyone who runs rubber tire. I have run the car with foam and didn’t have these problems so I’m guessing I need to make changes for rubber.

For the loose feel I would recommend a softer rear side spring, or even removing them completely for a few laps and seeing if that makes a big difference.
If the car pulls to one side under throttle, it's imbalanced, either springs or some other tweak. I would put the car on scales and see if it has even weight on its tires. If nothing you do makes it better sometimes the only solution is to completely tear the car down and build it again fresh. I have done that a time or two, it solved the problem but I never actually found out what the issue was!

I’ll check the tweak again, makes sense on the pulling to one side.
I’ll try the lighter side springs.
I didn’t build the car, bought used, so a rebuild if I can’t figure it out might be the answer.
