just an opinion po......

I'm from Sta. Rosa and a regular of capitol's weekend club races.
For sure, southeners like us have been looking forward for a nearby track... but then again, most racers (in my case at least) would go to where the action is..

Though there may be a track near my house, I would still always go to where my group regularly plays...

Surely, they would only visit the track during rainy seasons or for big races.... just like Pearl plaza - which didn't last long....
.. also considering the high toll fees and weekend traffic at sshwy...

My pearl plaza experience - 'tried to make it my regular track ( it was very near our house back then) but still ended up going to capitol because of the regular club races and not being left out...

Unless the proposed tracks become a regular venue (like capitol, speedzone, etc.) and not just a refuge during the rainy season........ kulang na lang siguro diyan na ako matulog... hehe

If I may ask sir, will your proposed tracks be somewhere between coke and technopark? Maybe we can invite regular mountbikers there to play RC..

Thanks for the feeback ss.

Funny you said that...actually the idea came about when i learned that some mountbikers in Sta Rosa are actually RC ethusiasts. Am a mountbiker myself but my bro-in-law is the one that stays in Sta Rosa. He was the one who told me that these guys were looking for a local track.

On being where the action is, if and when we push through with this, our vision is really not to make it a place to play in when there is rain lang. In fact, the objective should be to establish a local club where regular weekend races will be held.

In other words, you can still play in capitol and be with your group but there is going to be another group you can be part of where the action is going to be as competitive.

I lived in Cebu for 1.5 yrs and I just got recalled back here in Mla due to work. Now, I have very limited time to even touch my RC stuff. So I am not only looking at building this place for myself and establishing a club for the maintenance but we are actually looking at building this place and establishing a local club where we can have the best weekend races ever (every Saturday or Sunday if time permits).

Moreover, this can thereafter be a venue as well for big races where racers from all over the place can come and enjoy.

The place is not sure yet but ideally, we wanted it near Paseo de Sta Rosa.

Maybe you can help since you are from Sta Rosa. Would you know exactly how many people there have RCs who would want to be members of a local club and/or track?

Looking at an indoor asphalt track.

A warehouse of Piltel is being referred to me (I work for PLDT e
) Would appreciate your feedback.

Just for info. . .

Hehe.. I'm a mountain biker myself.... maybe the names edwin mendoza, and anthony ring a bell?..

I'm from Sta. Rosa Village I.. obviously just a stone-throw away from Paseo

A local club will be great in promoting the hobby in our area... you can count me in and give you support in anyway I can. Good to know there will be regular races and a group we can regularly join.

I was talking to edwin a month ago with the possibility of putting up an indoor racetrack in front of Toyota.. He said that there's good potential considering that many mtn bikers are RC enthusiasts.

I know one avid racer from Binan (he was one of the founders of of pearl plaza track)... and there maybe others who regularly play at Sta. Cruz / Batangas area...

What if we start the survey with the moutain bikers? I'm sure we can get Edwin's help
