So some of you might think I am carzy but on our small indoor track the Tekno's are taking a killing from the Losi's because of the weight being so far forward and the stock height springs. Many people are jumping ship from Tekno as a result. I figured since I already own the thing and something that been in the dirt already isn't that valuable I went and putting lowering springs on and did my own battery mod. Haven't ran it yet but here it is.

It's just a matter of figuring out the right setup, the Losi is lighter and is really fast if set up right. The fast guys at my outdoor dirt track run the Losi as well.
I had one myself (scte 3.0) but I couldn't get it to turn hairpins at all. After messing around with suspension I finally gave up and jumped to the tekno and it drove great out of the box - didn't have to change anything. Looking back I feel like I should have kept the Losi and figured it out. Don't give up on the tekno just yet, the magic setup is out there...
I'd try front tekno progressive springs (which are a lot shorter so you can get the front down) and reduce rear anti squat to zero or close to it. the latter made a huge difference for me, no more nose diving on jumps due to the forward weight. What is the issue you're having Cody01 ?

Hi all
Firstly thanks for this thread such a useful tool.
I have just bought the .3 and has been a great build, enjoyed it greatly. It’s all stock at present, put Schumacher tyres and some avid sc wheels.
I’m racing this Thursday and only new so I’m sure I’ll have to tweak it add some camber etc but I am new so will be asking lol
can’t post pictures yet.
i had the pro4 sc10 and that thing wouldn’t corner at all so selling it and bought the .3

I'm a little late to the party but just picked up a new one of these. Are there any imidiate changes to make for running on indoor clay?
How much servo do I really need? Is 300 inch ounces enough?
The track I'm on is pretty small, can I get away with a tekin RSX and a 4 pole 540 motor?

Is anyone else having weird battery issues when running one of these? I'm constantly overdischarging/ puffing batteries, probably due to insane current draw. Motor/ESC is the HW 3656 550 size 4700kV and HW SCT10 Pro.
Temperatures are also through the roof, despite the lowest gearing, lowest punch and lowest ESC timing. A fan on the motor helps somewhat....

Less than 10 mins and a whole variety of batts. 2S CNHL 8000 mah, Sunpadow shortys 6000 mah and 4500mah. 3S Goldbat 5200mah softcase.
I'm going to try a 3s 6200 Gaoneng next. Failing that i'm going to swap out the HW system for a Castle 3300kV motor and castle ESC.
I've noticed 3s is a little better.

either pull the pinoin off or back the motor way off so that the pinion isn't meshing with the spur gear. then spin the tires. does it free wheel? if it doesn't, then you have excessive drive train drag which could be caused by a blown bearing or improper shimming of diffs.

I'm pretty sure a 12 will fit if you remove the center brace but I don't know why you'd need to gear that low? What's your motor/battery combo?
