The bodies are made out of abs that is printed on.....Cost about $6.00 us to make...look really nice but the abs deforms easily and actually deforms in the hot direct sun...and gets destroyed in a slight crash... was going to import these but got some samples and changed my mind after use. Shame because really wanted this to work....lots of easy liveries and lots of profit but the quality is not their so Not for my Customers....I want them Happy ....not sending me angry emails....

I am the person who brought in the Pitlane Hobbies bodies to the US. I can assure you that these bodies are not ABS. They also come clear. Pitlane Hobbies offers three bodies. The first is the AMGT V2, which resembles a certain popular BristishGT car that you will see in many series throughout the world. There is also the Vertigo. Unless you are a hardcore endurance racing fan, you may not have ever seen one. If you look, you'll definitely find them. The third body is a personal favorite. The LM600 strongly resembles a car that has competed at LeMans, the 24 Hours of Daytona, and has won the Dutch Supercars series a number of times. I first saw the Marcos car at the Petit LeMans 1000 in 1998. With it's squashed bug looks and it's thundering engine, how could I not like it?
Due to COVID and the worldwide shipping issues, I haven't been able to restock in quite a while. I am told that more AMGTs will ship in the first quarter of 2022. I, like you, are at the mercy of factors beyond my control in when they arrive. I look forward to the box arriving on my doorstep as much as much as you.

Kevin K and myself have been talking over some ideas about "GT" style racing and maybe some ways to have a unique racing experience while still keeping the cars reasonable. This is going to be under the USVTA banner, and we would like to implement this for Sept.1, officially. There may still be some tweaks here, but it's 95% there.
We looked at a bunch of retailers, and realized you can get tires from HPI, Tamiya, Associated, Integy, etc. etc. for under $12. This doesn't lock everybody in to one tire, and if you can find something cheaper that goes faster, more power to you. Run 26mm vta tires all the way around, have fun
The other thing was keeping away from what is right now the most successful class, 17.5 sedan. Open speedo 21.5 cars will be plenty fast, but still be a reasonable speed. We're not locking anyone into a single ESC, or motor for that matter right now. This is meant to be something between VTA and sedan, but not the same as either
Edit: BTW the FWD thing is getting a lot of buzz, so we wanted a place for that too.
