Default Sanwa RX-482 not working with old Hitec servo

Hooked up an old Hitec HS-81MG to my RX-482 and M17 and the servo makes terrible noises does not center or track at all. Tried switching it to Normal mode and still the same thing. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or is the RX-482 not compatible with old servos?

The HS81 is an analog servo, be sure you set the channel to an analog servo speed.

Make sure to re-bind the receiver after changing the steering servo setting to ‘normal’ mode. It’s possible you’ve damaged the servo if you plugged it in before doing this. Good luck!

Sanwa M11x 2.4ghz Radio Range Issues over ... The Hitec servos "could" be an issue, and again, uplug them.hitec S type digital servo into the old airtronics(sanwa) receiver this will blow up the servo circuits". My problem is that my receiver .
But your main
problem is fit... the ports on the Sanwas Rx is tighter. Try dremeling or filing the Servo and ESC F-plugs on all four sides till .

Yes, putting an analog servo in, while the radio is set to digital can damage the servo.

Luckily the servo still works fine with my other receiver but switching the Normal mode and rebinding did not work. I will try rebinding again and see how that goes. Thanks for the replies.

So I bound up another receiver in normal mode and non of my old HS55 or HS85 work with it. They all work fine with my old Futaba stuff. Going to assume there is no work around for this and get newer servos to replace the old Hitec stuff.
