Inexpensive Entry Level 1/10 EP Touring ?

Well, for brands who mainly sell RC cars for bashing, you'll find top speed ratings for everything they make, right on the first page usually. It's one of the big selling points for them, and for some customers the single most important stat they're looking for. So it's natural for people who started our hobby there*, to automatically wonder how fast these expensive specialiized racing machines go. Now imagine when us racing folks tell them "We simply don't know. And we don't really care..." (for reasons that have already been explained earlier). Must be quite a surprise...
*) not only them of course

Honestly I'm yet to try it out, hopefully tomorrow.
bateries I'll be using are cnhl, I originally bought them for my 1/8 buggy, they pack very strong punch and last long time, that is using them in series conection to give 4s power to my buggy, + these are very affordable.
CNHL Racing Series 5600mAh 2S Lipo Battery 100C(Burst 200C) 7.4V with Deans Plug for RC Car,RC Airplane/Truck/Boat, RC Truggy Buggy Tank,1/8 1/10 RC Vehicles Multi-Motor Hobby DIY Parts(2 Packs)
For tyres I have a set of these

And a set of these

Extra tip 🙃 very affordable recievers for gt5 are fsa3 recievers. They are less than 10$

But split over several years and with not many other hobbies and activities around (plus no children to feed and entertain), it was doable. Touring cars aside (I'll always have more of those than I really need - it's most definitely a case of want instead of need there), my plan was (and still is for the most part), to have a car ready for any (major) electric racing (chassis) class (with the exception of larger scales, like 1/8th or bigger - so far) there is, so when somebody in my club comes up and says "hey, I'm going to Track ABC next week to drive class XYZ", I'll never have to say "Wow, I'd like that as well, but I have no car for it..." but instead can say "Cool, got one as well, I'll come along!", when I want to.

I used and will be using stock shell until It gets all messed up. I already put some scars to it 😬
from my experience today I can tell you powers wheels are working great 👌

I was really surprised how little juice this motor is using. Driving for like 15minutes and v came to 3.8v per cell. Max temperature of the motor was 120 (with fan). I had 4 stints and all were 10+ minutes, asphalt temp was 110.
Need some work to make it better but great car for the price.

You should route your ESC cable to receiver over the motor. Passing it under the motor can result into cuts and short-circuits.

Hi All,
Today I received the XQ2S ($119, $162 with shipping), which took a month to arrive in Mexico City. I have also ordered the Roll Bars ($14, $19 with shipping). I am excited to start building !
Need to Purchase (I would appreciate feedback) :
Total $577 with shipping plus the cost of the motor pinion gear
I would appreciate the feedback.
I realize I am doing this backward, but II have not been able to find a local club and think I will practice on my own and find a club in the USA when I return.
Thank you!
Cheers
* Not including the cost of paint, tools, grease, shock oil, etc.

That all looks fine except the servo. You don't need that much torque, 10kg is heaps for an onroad car, and it is slow. I would look for a servo around .1 sec and 10kg. I dont have the XQ2S so don't know if you need a low profile servo for it. Everyone has their own ideas, look at the Savox 1251MG as a baseline for a servo. There are better around but this will do the job

This one is a little more. Power HD R12. Good reviews. I picked one up for my 3racing S6/4 build.
