I run a 2200kv castle MMX combo with a 16tooth and it’s controllable on 4s. No issues with drivetrain parts so far 👍

Are the All Racing aluminum gearboxes worth the money? Do the stock plastic gearboxes break often? I am in the process of building up a super strong MT410 and want to get all the parts. Already have quite a few of the M2C parts.

Not sure if you mean the diff cases? but if you do....
The stock plastic are strong, there's guys running TP motors on 6S with no problems. The advantage of the M2C one's is the 50% more volume, and stronger of course, but the volume is the main thing imo. The stock plastic hold very little oil, it heats up quick, and i even opened them up after only a few runs once, and they were bone dry. It seems the oil evaperated

All Racing brand out of China makes front and rear aluminum gearboxes. They hold the diffs. They look very nice and are on e bay. They are around $200. Good to know about the diff cases though, I see Tekno makes steel ones now that hold more fluid, they might hold up better than the aluminum ones when a rock gets wedged in there as steel is harder than aluminum. The plastic ones do look rather small though. This build is getting expensive with all the upgrades.

The price on the AllRacing gearboxes varies substantially on eBay ( ~145 to ~200 ). It would be nice if an M2C version was available.

Also, you may find the following threads by Overkill/0verkilll helpful.

Thank you Typo. I guess I’ll hold off on the AllRacing gearboxes for now and see how the stock ones hold up. Doing the M2C chassis and all the braces. Was going to add up all the $ for special parts I got so far, but rather not see the amount right now.

For completeness, the following post by Overkill on the Tekno Forums includes additional details about the AllRacing gearboxes.

So it seems the TKR 6051 shock pistons are sold out and discontinued. They are the 8x1.3 Cnc conical pistons. Going to run the orange springs with 800 oil, anybody know what pistons to get?

Could you please report back on the durability of those Flexytub shock covers? Also, do they work well? I am assuming you are NOT using the rubber gators underneath, is that correct?

I just got a Facebook ad on my feed, and my first impression is that it's a fantastic idea...as long as they work!

I am a little confused on the correct orientation of which side the crown ring goes when putting the diff in the gear box/bulkhead. The manual shows on the right/passenger side. In all my other 1/8 cars it goes on the left. Not sure if this is an issue because you can simply reverse the motor if they spin wrong way.
