I really miss 1/12th onroad... that's how I cut my teeth in RC racing in the mid-80s and the club thrived for several years.

Then, the guys in our club wanted to try 1/10th offroad, so we did that for awhile, but I never liked it... too much work keeping bearings, etc. clean and maintained.

Then we tried 1/10th onroad, but it never took off... 4 minute heats is not as much fun, IMO.

1/12th onroad, 8 minute heats... you get plenty of track time on race day. But there's nothing happening near me now.

Not sure who you are but there's runs of 12th scale at soda city. Just post on Facebook when you're coming and we'll probably come out. Most of us go every other Sunday

Yup. Soda City has a solid following of 1/12th scale folks. Mostly we run GT12s with 21.5 motors and spec tires. But there are also a few more guys who often run 17.5 1/12th scales with traditional GTP bodies.

I'm so lucky ,we have a brand new R/C facility with a permanent on road CRC black carpet track at 15min drive away from home
I couldn't resist to get back to the hobby after many years , as I'm a off-road driver I get back to 1/12 scale...bought a CRC CK25 ...and I love it so far!!
easy to setup and drive very nicely...I wonder if they coming up with a new car anytime soon? as I feel the car need some fresh look

Default CK25

Not giving up on the CK25. Titanium chassis, tungsten weights under battery, old school Associated frontend and bell crank steering.

I'm sorry you said "not giving up", it means that you can get the performance you want from the original one? What was the issue? (I got a brand new one, never raced...)

The trend seems to be heavier chassis with the older style kingpin front end. Everytime I've tried and Associated old school front end it seemed overly aggressive. But since I went to the titanium chassis with the tungsten the lower center of gravity seem to tame down the aggressive front end. I still use a CK25 also. And maybe the Bell crank steering is taming it down a bit also between the two of them the car had a very good weekend for the first time out last week.
I also pay very close attention to front to rear weight distribution. 39/61 f/r is almost impossible for me to drive or at least tune the car for. Last week I ran the car at 43% front moving it down to 42% next race.

I don't have a ck25 for my 17.5...I have a "ck25".... I'm lacking entry steering... Not too sure of what ima end up doing car wise. I know I could've been more competitive if I had entry steering at this one race....aside from a bs hiccup I had with my car. At least my first qualifier held for 4th best all weekend

Default ck25: roll center spacer and

can someone suggest how to install roll center spacer when the Pro-Strut Graphite Brace was already installed with Long Dual Upper Mount.
i shall
  1. insert it under the Pro-Strut Graphite Brace with longer 4-40 & 8-32 screws with nuts?
  2. use only short upper arm and roll center spacer?
below is what i ended up, don't install the roll center spacer, just changed to ry the 10 degree caster block

should i stack it up with longer screws and nut?

Your long arm dual mount Pro strut brace is already a roll center spacer. I run the long arm Pro brace on a 10th scale car and I just use longer 4/40s to hold the brace down. Warning, I never could get the probrace/ roll center spacer to work right on black carpet on a 12th scale, it was a little to aggressive, I could turn in a good lap or two at a time but that was about it, but if your car needs some aggressiveness in the steering it might be the ticket..
