Sorry to hear about what happened! A lot of people actually make the same mistake when they first start workingon engines unfortunately. As others have mentioned pistons and sleeves are always sold as a matched set, so you can not buy a loose piston or a loose sleeve (from any manufacturer that I know of). Hope that helps a bit!

I'd like to congratulate Jacob Savage on taking the win in Sportsman truggy at the Wicked Weekend last sunday! Jacob used our Werks B5-Pro II with 2058 pipe to power him to the win!
I'd also like to congratulate Evan Vail for his top 10 position in Pro Truggy also using our B5-Pro II and 2058 pipe combo!

Overall the Wicked Weekend was an excellent outing for us at Werks Racing with our different engine models taking the win in Sportsman Nitro Buggy, Sportsman Nitro Truggy, Intermediate Nitro Buggy in addition to top 10 finished in Pro Nitro Truggy, Pro Nitro Buggy and 40+ Nitro Buggy!

Where can I buy different size carb reducers for the werks 2010 style carb on the werks b5 pro 2? Amain says they are discontinued and I cannot find them for sale anywhere on the internet. Does another company make ones that are compatible?

Werks is usually pretty active in this page he probably could sell you some if amain doesn’t carry them to.

Thank you Jersey! To confirm, the correct Reds carb would be the GEN2 S SERIES, correct? For instance, the 7.5mm venturi is Reds part #ER210079?
I just want to make sure I get the right ones. There are multiple "Gen 2" Reds carb reducers, including M series, R series, and S series. I presume "S" series is for "Scuderia".

orion, performa, newer triton not older ones, newer reds scuderia, those venturis should all work fine. Those carbs I believe are all made in same factory. Venturis look the same to me.

What size reducer are you looking for and/or what are you trying to change performance wise?

Thanks everyone for your help!
Werks, I am looking to increase my top end a little. I know I will lose some run time and a little bottom end, but that is OK. I just want to tinker, really. I am looking for the 7.5mm and 8.0mm carb inserts. Are you able to sell them to me through this forum, or how do we do that? Also, what would shipping run?

No we (or any of the other manufacturers I believe) do not sell things on this forum, I do not think that it is allowed. We sell primarily through dealers however if a consumer such as your self need parts or something that is not stocked or can not be located through a dealer then we can sell those direct. You would just need to touch base with us, easiest way is just to send us an e-mail at [email protected] (full contact info and phone # can be found on our web site at Werks Racing). let us know what you are looking for and give us your shipping info and we will get back to you with a quote. Unfortunately we are still catching up on inventory levels as all of the factories in Italy were forced to shut down for several months during the pandemic which caused a mess. I did just check stock though and we have every size venturi available in 0.5mm increments from 5.5mm to 9mm with the exception of 7.5mm which we are currently out of.
Going up in reducer will increase top end at the expense of fuel consumption as you mentioned. However I tend to look at reducers/venturi changes as a means to fine tune performance for specific track layouts/conditions. I do not look a them as a means to dramatically alter performance. I mention this because I have never really had any people say that their B5's are lacking in top end. Are you running a 2058 with it? Also are you happy with the bottom end? if so have you tried altering gearing, that will make a bigger difference in performance than a venturi change?

Thanks for all the info werks! I am running the werks 2013 pipe. The bottom end is excellent, dare I say almost too much in fact, and I am even running on a 1/8 truggy.
I did just buy the motor recently and have only run about half a gallon through it (also sent it in first for the Adam drake break in), so I know the top end will increase slightly once it has about a gallon on it, but it still seems to be lacking a bit on the top end.
It does sound like a good idea to maybe try going down a few teeth on the spur gear and see if that has the effect I am looking for.
