Let's be honest... no one is showing up or purposely buying a overly priced plastic tub TC01 to race in usgt lol..

Budget new kits that work / fit well for Usgt

3 Racing Base kit's or even the Advance $100-$260
Xpress Base kit $120-$160
Tamiya TT02 SR $170
Tamiya TA07 Pro

Or

Any 2014-2018 used name brand TC kit for $200-$400

Xray T4's
AE TC6.2 or 7's
AX A800's
Yok BD8's / BD9's

Marcos.J and mrreet2001 like this.

Let's be honest... The "new" guys won't stay off the walls long enough to notice they are 50g overweight.

(Not slamming anyone. I was there too. I remember how excited I was the first day I went a whole race without hitting anything)

Perfect examples.. How much do the TT02 and TA07 weigh compared to the others...

This is exactly my point.. We need to consider them all.. I just don't think the min weight considers them all.

And for the sake of being 'transparent'.. I personally run FWD in USGT which has whole host of other challenges in itself when speaking of 'poor chassis choices'

We do NOT need to consider EVERY car.
And again Could you link the "TC01" or at least tell me the brand. The only TC01 I can find is the Tamiya Formula E car.

You don't even have a minimum weight.

Like stated, no not every car will be considered. The majority of cars that are run on a regular basis is the base foundation of what the "Norm" is / should be. I only mentioned the Tamiya's because some people are die hard and love them. For the money they are great and you could get either down to weight if you actually wanted.

Shoot I started 17.5 with a plastic over weight TA06 & learned from there, I picked that car I had other choices as does everyone. Still did good with it considering it was terrible for most people, learned set up, stayed off the boards did well and moved on. The point is when you see Usgt and the cars running in it you have a great picture of what the class actually is. If a new comer walks into any local on road track one of the racers if not multiples will help guide a newer racer to a worth while chassis / help them get going.
