Ordered a stock body.....going to shoe goo the inside with plaster mesh. The front bumper is a bit fragile.....even though they are cheap. Also after a huge cart wheel and many hard crashes I lost a front hub carrier. It cracked in half. I am up north do the temps are kinda cold. But this thing so far has been solid. I loosened up the bolts I the front bumper when the truck was new and its been good. But I have never landed directly on it lawn dart style. Anybody have Redcats 6s truggy looking truck...mt8 I think just curious how it compares to the Kaiju...durability wise??

Old thread but all that popped up on a search by subject/topic. Still, some useful info on this thread for the decision-making process.

Did a hasty spreadsheet cost comparison between buying a RTR Kaiju EXT vs. buying an Ebay slider. Building from a slider is my preference. But in this case it comes out at much higher cost than the RTR version.

So before launching into this as a project, how does the Kaiju EXT perform as a basher? My build, should I pursue it, will be single battery 4S power with 2100Kv motor. Surface primarily grass with moderate jumps. Not a lot of back flips - I'm not that good. Do want to try my hand at a 1/8 build or purchase MT though.

What is your experience or thoughts, RCTech? Thanks in advance. -AC

Redcat trucks have improved a lot in durability over the years, with stronger metal gears, reinforced parts, and better electronics in recent models. While not perfect, they’re much more reliable and sturdy than earlier versions.

Many users find newer Redcat trucks offer solid performance and are a good choice for both beginners and hobbyists, with only minor, easily fixed issues reported.
