Just wanted to let everyone know that if you want to do the Hot Racing 48p steel spur from the Losi mini 8ight, the 60T will not fit, at least not without modifying the chassis, gear cover and top plate. The Hot Racing 0.5mod 60t spur fits though. Not sure if any of the other sized 48p spurs fit as I didn't buy any of the others.

And has anyone used these cvds? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3291...chweb201603_53
I tried these and they are made wrong, there is no spot for the inner race of the bearing to ride, the entire bearing just sits on the face of the stub axle and can't spin freely and they bend like twigs https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3285...chweb201603_53

A while back it some folks mentioned they are junk and the aliexpress CNC stuff isnt very good either.
Thanks for the battery recommendations! I am running the warrenrc 2000 65c and really like it, but I am thinking a hardpack in the LC12. Im running the HobbyWing 10BL60, I can go to a 3s- but after seeing Dethrone's car on 3s- mine will end up in a snowbank and wont find it till the snow melts.
Can I ask a question that I havent figured out yet?
When the ESC says max of 60 (10BL60), does refer to the output of the battery, like 30c, or 65c? Im not understanding what this means. I have the 65c in my car now and is that too much 65c power for the BL60? The higher the c means more instant punch power and some batteries will punch upto like 60-80c? If I went to a 2200 battery with a 30c would that give me more run time, but sacrifice that instant power?
What does 3656-size mean? The Kv I understand I think. The higher the Kv the faster it is? This ESC will handle upto a motor that is 4000Kv?
Has anyone run any cars on snow and recommend a good snow tire? Or if there are any paddle tire options out there?

For 2S Lipo or 6 cells NiMH:
1. On-road: 3656-size or smaller motor with the KV<6000
2. Off-road/Buggy/Monster: 3656-size or smaller motor with the KV<4000

It's only snow 😆
The 10BL60 is referring to the scale its intended for 10 being 1/10 and the continuous amps it is rated for 60a. The BL is an acronym for "brushless".
3656 refers to the size of a motor 36mm diameter x 56mm length.
Higher kv doesn't necessarily mean higher top speeds and I encourage you to delve deeper into this topic. You can likely squeeze a few more mph out of a higher kv motor but everything has a trade-off and that would be heat and low end power.

Nice, compact option for those looking for a hardcase pack. Only 30C, but the LC Racing SC I have is already way faster than what I need or can make use of on our smallish carpet track.

It doesn't fit within the battery mounts without modification - we're trying to get new racers involved, we aren't going to ask them to do that to their RTR (not yet anyway).
It's nearly three times the cost, and much harder to source.
If the 1600mAh lasts a 5:00-6:00 minute heat? Plenty good enough for folks to learn and have some fun for $12.99...

Happy to go with the Reedy, however:
