Platinum HV458 Servo Send it RC
#1
I heard about these servos from a racer at my local track and decided to try them out this year for my nitro buggy. Its got an all aluminum case and very impressive specs that look amazing for any servo let alone one at this price. At 7.4v the specs are .08 at 458oz. I'm trying them in both throttle and steering I'm more than happy with them so far. Compared to my 150s proteks I ran all year last year they seem just as good and at 40 bucks cheeper I couldn't pass them up.

Just ordered a set of HV458s! Excited to run them - they look like an exciting edition to the servo wars and I try to get the best value for my money. I will post up as I receive, install, and run them.

So, after not being able to run my car for quite some time for multiple reasons, I finally got out to test the HV458s! Car; Tekno NB48 2.0, rx battery; LIHV 2.6, radio; Sanwa M17. HV 458 on steering and throttle. First couple of laps were to get my brain, eye, hand, coordination back together. I was turning in to pipes all over the place and the car was nervous - a combination of me and the servos? Nope; me and the radio. The last time I ran I had my previous brand servos in the car and the radio was set nanospeed fast. I slowed the radio back down again and was back on track with the car feeling very good. The steering felt linear and I had to take some brake out - these things are really no joke when it comes to power and speed. NO buzzing or humming whatsoever as I spent the time after putting them in to get the EPAs set up to where they needed to be. Tomorrow will be race test and I will post up after. I'm impressed so far.
