Default Old school 75mhz issues

So I recently dug my collection out of storage.
Everything is 75mhz AM futaba. (One hitec shredder micro receiver).
Every one is sketchy. Like I get 30 feet and lose control on the same system that I used to get 300 feet out of.
Doesn't matter what tx or rx or channel.

TX's
Magnum Jr. (X2)
Attack.
Attack R

RX's
Shredder
Fp-102gr
A later gen futaba (200 feet of tape covering it, maybe a 152)

Crystals (all legit futaba)
62
76
84

I'm even talking about one receiver that has the antenna in 3 pieces taped together and bitd i had zero issues with it.
So wtf is going on?
capacitors that have died (?) Seems shady that all devices have failed.
locale? I tried it at a friend's place and thought it was interference so I went to my cabin that's on 15 acres in the middle of a forest and the nearest town is 247 people and 3 miles away...

Any ideas?

Just a guess, but if the crystals are all old and/or you using it in a cold environment that could affect frequency stability.

All my crystals are vintage late 80's - early 90's.
All my gear has been stored in a storage locker in Las Vegas for over a decade. So Temps have probably cycled from below freezing to 120+. I picked up another tx and rx with crystals, but they're the same era.
I had one good day where things seemed to be running well, maybe the weather was warm enough that day (?).
I guess I'll get a new set and see what happens.
Thanks for the input.
