Has anyone tried a spool in front on black carpet?

yes, and after adjusting setup for it, I don’t see myself taking it back out.

I started with million weight in the diff, and the spool just comes out of the corner so much harder..

id like to get another diff and try 2 or 2.5 million.

I left my car at the track. I’ll get you a setup sheet posted tomorrow.

But the major things were roll center, wheelbase and camber. Largest probably being camber. (2*f/1*r)

My current setup.. not saying this is perfect by any means, in fact, I would probably take a little more initial steering.

But it’s consistent and pretty easy to drive on our current layout.

You run spool on carpet?
What difference with gear diff?

Best regards

Yes, I am running the solid axle currently.

Corner exit power is the most drastic difference. It pushes a little more, but you can adjust setup for that. (vs. 1 mill wt. gear diff)

Have I mentioned I love this car?

Swapped to progressive hard front springs. Thinking of taking the top deck shims out now that the tires are wearing in a bit.

Found out the hard way the Montech WR4 isn’t a great fit for this car. Figured I would pass the info along.

Might be be able to sneak it in with bumper trimming, but there is so little up there as it is, I don’t think I want to do that.

Looks like Ike I’ll be sticking with the Bitty HC-F

I didn’t attempt to mount it, but another guy at the club tried. Because of the front bumper and shape of the rear wheel openings there’s an issue. Let me see if I have the pic he sent me. I used another guys trimmed one to double check before I cut mine.

Unfortunately I didn’t know this before I ordered it. Figured I’d share . The nose is just a little too short with all that stuff up there. The AMX car works because there isn’t the motor pushing the bumper forward as far.

Without seeing the whole body -- front to rear wheel -- it's hard to agree there is an issue or not

I had to hack my front bumper to get my body to fit. Cutting foam happens. It provides a tight / custom fit.

you are correct, it probably “could” be made to fit.

As is with the way the bumper, foam, and carbon mount are on the T4f. It’s not on “drop on” fit.

I can edit my original post.

I could also probably get you a better pic with a trimmed body this Saturday.
