Rc 4s minimum?
#1
Hey!
So just got a great deal on a Turnigy XK 4082 1450kv motor, this motor says it’s 4-8s. Is it truly a 4s MINIMUM? What will happen if I run 3s? Just curious...
Thanks,
Shnoo

1450kv will run best on 6s. I ran my 1700kv on 4s with 15° of turbo timing and it was still a dog. You might want to get a 1900-2050kv motor if you already have 4s batteries cause 6s batteries are really expensive.

I'm not a fan of running packs in series, you need to match the cells when new and rotate them for the best results, buying used packs will have mix-matched IR's... now if you have an IR checker built into your charger then that will be a halfway decent approach to matching the cells somewhat, but once the IR goes on one pack then you risk killing the better performing pack, more info here:
