Rc 4s minimum?

Hey!

So just got a great deal on a Turnigy XK 4082 1450kv motor, this motor says it’s 4-8s. Is it truly a 4s MINIMUM? What will happen if I run 3s? Just curious...

Thanks,
Shnoo

It will work, but will be slow as hell. What are you using this motor in?

A frankenstein basher, doesn’t need a ton of speed. Rebuilt it from scraps I had, less speed might be better 😄

1450kv will run best on 6s. I ran my 1700kv on 4s with 15° of turbo timing and it was still a dog. You might want to get a 1900-2050kv motor if you already have 4s batteries cause 6s batteries are really expensive.

I have 4 2s LiPo's that you can wire together to make a 4s pack . Super cheap and great LiPo's . They are 30.00 each plus shipping. You will need at least 2 to power as 4s. They are Gens Ace 4200 60C short LiPo's. They have one cylce on them from new. I have changed sponsors so these are no longer allowed for me to use. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...634dbd238.jpeg

I'm not a fan of running packs in series, you need to match the cells when new and rotate them for the best results, buying used packs will have mix-matched IR's... now if you have an IR checker built into your charger then that will be a halfway decent approach to matching the cells somewhat, but once the IR goes on one pack then you risk killing the better performing pack, more info here:
