Tekno RC ET410 Thread

no not really. The arm against the wall was my fault. Kinda hit it hard lol. The shock mount was because clipped the pipe on the sweeper and tumbled into the wall. That was all that broke though bulkhead and tower seems to be fine

Getting ready for potential stock ball cup failure, and hunting for replacements. I see people were using Team Associated's 91453 HD ball cups in their EB/ET410s. Those Associated ball cups are now discontinued, and can not be found unless you want to pay an absurd amount of cash for them
.
Is Associated's 91722 B6/T6 ball cups now the replacement of choice for the Tekno truggy?
Or, was there a running change in Tekno's ball cups?

I run sc10 4x4 ball cups with the lunsford super duty tie rods (3.5mm tie rods vs 3mm stick size). No drilling required for the sc10 4x4 rod ends, they are made for 3.5mm tie rods.

Took my eb410/MIP and made a et410/MIP. Maclan 6.5, thing is a blast to drive. Only issue is that I broke 2 rear bulkheads with 3 batteries. Need to get a rear tower support in it, I assume.

eb410/MIP to et410/MIP

eb410/MIP to et410/MIP

i haven’t had the pleasure of breaking a bulkhead yet but I have torched 4 hinge pins, 3 arms, 1 rod end, and 1 hinge pin pill and that is after 6 days of running it.
Cool ok thing I am hitting mid 16s and getting close to hitting 15s on our track that is a 16-17 second track

So I built my eb410/MIP into a et410/MIP. Day 2 at the track, had added the stock rear Bulkhead supports, onto the MIP Chassis. Made it 1/2 way around the track, and destroyed the stock 81 tooth spur gear. I'll upgrade from the the 48 pitch to 32 pitch Spur/pinion? I then watched 2 other et410's on the track. They flew like arrows over the jumps. My MIP chassis setup, on gas, spun backwards in the air. Hit the breaks, spin forwards in the air. Great fun, but not fast. I'm going switch to the stock Chassis, so a standard et410. As I am a slacker, I like to look at a setup sheet from a Pro, than tweak / adjust to my driving. Am I blind, or is the only setup sheet out there, carpet? No high bite clay or even dirt?

Our track has some pretty serious steep jumps. Originally I thought the eb410, was to slow in the corners for our indoor clay track. I pre-ordered the MIP Chassis. Before I received the MIP chassis, tried moving the rear shocks in front of the rear tires. That helped a lot. I then put the MIP chassis on, because I already ordered it. I like the eb410/MIP. But if I had it to do over, I would not have done the MIP. Moving the rear shocks was enough, in my opinion. Now I am playing with the et410, already with the rear shocks in front of the rear towers, I am not sold the MIP is the way to go. Maybe carpet? But on our track with lots of technical jumps, I'm going to back to the stock chassis. And in all seriousness, the eb410/et410 are a blast to drive. I still run my eb410/MIP, as it is whips in the corners like no others. But it does not drive like a eb410/et410.
Lame Tekno does not care enough to share with it's customers, some of the Pro setups. One reason my sct410.3 is going on ebay. I like comparing my setups to the Pro's, for some ideas.
